Lake Claire is a northeast Atlanta neighborhood that features a great mix of home styles, mature trees, parks, gardens, sidewalks, and, most importantly, great residents! This site is maintained by the neighborhood association, Lake Clair`e Neighbors, Inc. (LCN) Needed! New Editor for The ClarionDear neighbors, After a long and successful stint, Gay Arnieri, has stepped down as editor of our neighborhood newsletter, The Clarion. Lake Claire is looking for someone new to be the editor. The rest of the amazing volunteer staff -- Design (Tish), Advertising (Emily), and Distribution (Rose) -- remains on board and is ready to help. Watershed Mural Dedication & Earth Day Celebration... What a party!
On Sunday, April 22, 2007, we celebrated the completion of "Native Waters", a 340 ft. mural on Dekalb Avenue depicting the native watershed. The project, spearheaded by LCN President, Kathy Evans, began in 2005 and involved countless hours by volunteers throughout the area. The mural shows how local water eventually reaches both the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. Learn more...
Several hundred people from Lake Claire and beyond turned out to celebrate this momentous occasion. The day began with the Seed and Feed Marching Abominable band and finished with an Earth Day celebration at the Lake Claire Community Land Trust.
